In 2019, Kazoo embarked on a mission to combine two award winning platforms into a single user experience. As a designer fresh to the company, I took the opportunity to study the former UIs, align with Kazoo’s budding marketing strategy, and generate a visual design system that reflects where Kazoo came from and where they are going.
I sort of fell in love with this design prompt: to create a single app screen which would control an electronic skateboard. I had a lot of fun while considering the people using the tool, how a digital device could control a physical transportation object, and how to give the user non-visual cues to operate their vehicle.
Every business needs to know how its content performs. Sherpa serves many businesses with diverse functions and different KPIs. I interviewed Sherpa’s most valued clients to find out what analytics matter to them and created an analytics dashboard to help those clients discover and share statistics for their videos.
I love this example because it is a UI I created in a shorter timeline than I usually work in. With less than two weeks to launch the new Sherpa video player, Product Management decided we could not launch the new player without a front-end for branding. In a pinch and without delaying the deadline, I whipped up this simple UI which allows the user to configure the player with or without knowing how to code. The best part: people loved using it!
Sherpa is re-imagining enterprise video. Today’s enterprise needs something beyond the video player, to engage audiences and create immersive experiences, even if it’s just being used for corporate communications. With Sherpa’s suite of tools, their video player needed to be adaptable to various circumstances, but straightforward to use. I had the opportunity to solve the challenge of fitting all tools and interactives onto any device, in any configuration.
I created this microsite for Sherpa Digital Media as part of a marketing campaign aimed at enterprise video professionals. I wanted to pay homage to our broadcast television roots by using a color test strip motif in the loading animation, buttons, and borders. I created templates for the flow and visual components, so that content could be managed through The Sherpa Video Platform by the production and marketing team with little-to-no touch by a developer.
In its fifth year, the Center for Digital Archaeology (CoDA) decided their software, Codifi, should be managed as a "B" Corporation. Codifi Inc. split peacefully, but with the for-profit branch went the founder and CEO, the software, and the logo. So the nonprofit received a long-deserved facelift.
A new antique map company, based in San Francisco launched its online store in Fall, 2016. I designed a logo, online store, and print ad for its launch.
With clients like Google, AirBnB, Bayer, and Stanford, Wild SF’s private walking tours had become a real revenue generator. It was time for them to upgrade their page from a blog post with a Google forms link attached to something more visually stimulating which would also lead more conversions. I designed this new page within their existing brand to speak directly to their core audiences and lead more people to submit private tour requests.
Te Reo Taranaki in New Plymouth works to "revitalise Taranaki’s distinctive version of the Māori language." I designed a mobile interface for their dictionary records.
